Family interviews and historical traces show a sudden break in that life around April 1936. There are hints of marital conflict and a confrontation, followed by Mary dropping out of official records.
No clear death certificate, no burial notice, no normal ending. Police say that gap, plus the garage site and family details, pointed strongly to the victim under the concrete being Mary herself, frozen at the age of 30.
The husband who will never face a courtroom
