ALERT: Underwater Global Internet Cables Sabotaged

Red alert light against black background, text ALERT.

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Raising alarm bells about a massive sabotage operation against Western interests, critical undersea internet cables connecting Finland to Germany have been mysteriously severed.

This latest incident has heightened fears that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ramping up his ongoing attempts to destabilize Western communications and infrastructure.

These vital communication cables were damaged near the Swedish island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea, a region already under Russian aggression.

Finnish state-controlled company Cinia, which manages the affected link, has dispatched a repair ship to investigate the outage, but the true extent of the damage remains unknown.

Cinia CEO Ari-Jussi Knaapila stated, “At the moment, there is no way to assess the cause of the cable break, but such breaks without external impact do not happen in these waters.”

Adding to the gravity of the situation, a second cable running alongside gas pipelines and power cables has also been impacted.

This double blow to Europe’s undersea infrastructure has set off alarm bells across NATO countries, with intelligence agencies scrambling to assess the potential for further attacks.

The timing of this sabotage is particularly suspicious, coming on the heels of Finland’s recent NATO membership – a move that has undoubtedly angered Putin and his cronies.

It is no coincidence that NATO intelligence has warned of a Russian submarine unit potentially targeting undersea infrastructure.

The act of sabotage as been deemed as a clear escalation in the Kremlin’s ongoing campaign to undermine Western unity and security.

This is not the first time critical infrastructure in the region has been targeted. The Nord Stream pipeline was also sabotaged as an act of alleged Russian eco-terrorism that remains unsolved.
