(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Amazon is rolling out a new artificial intelligence tool designed to help third-party sellers resolve issues and get sales and inventory data.
The company announced that they are releasing Amelia, an artificial intelligence assistant that is still in beta testing in the United States. Amazon describes this AI assistant as an “all-in-one, generative-AI based selling expert.”
This is the latest artificial intelligence tool that Amazon will be using as it jumps on trend to utilize and capitalize off of AI. It’s not the first AI tool to be used by Amazon as they’ve previously announced Rufus, an AI-powered shopping assistant, and Bedrock which is a generative AI service for cloud customers.
Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon, said that the “generative AI opportunity is almost unprecedented” and that increased capital spending is necessary to take advantage of the craze. Said Jassy, “I don’t know if any of us has seen a possibility like this in technology in a really long time, for sure since the cloud, perhaps since the internet.”
Artificial intelligence has been prevalent across Amazon’s e-commerce platforms, and it’s now used in multiple ways, like to display summaries for product reviews and help third party sellers to write listings.
The company also announced that it would have tools that let sellers create AI-generated videos for ads and use AI to write product listings in bulk. Amazon has been catering its services to third party sellers, making things easier for them to list on their website. Third-party sellers have made up at least half of all sales for Amazon for the last decade.
The main issue that Amelia will be troubleshooting for third-party sellers is account troubleshooting. Sellers have often complained about how difficult it is to get a swift resolution or reach a human when issues surface with their account, but this AI tool could be the solution.
