Amazon HIT With MASSIVE Strike

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – In a shocking move, Amazon workers across the nation are threatening to disrupt holiday deliveries for millions of Americans by striking just days before Christmas.

The Teamsters union, representing nearly 10,000 Amazon employees out of the 1.5 million employees worldwide, has launched the “largest strike against Amazon in U.S. history.”

The union is accusing the tech giant of “insatiable greed” and disregard for worker rights.

This attack on one of America’s most successful companies could leave countless families without their holiday packages, all because of union bosses’ thirst for power and control.

The strike began earlier today and involved workers from seven Amazon facilities across the country, including Atlanta, New York City and Southern California.

The Teamsters claim they are fighting for fair wages and better working conditions.

Still, their actions threaten to harm the very workers they claim to protect by potentially costing them their jobs during the crucial holiday season.

Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien stated, “If your package is delayed during the holidays, you can blame Amazon’s insatiable greed.”

This messaging ignores that Amazon has already increased its minimum wage for fulfillment center and transportation employees by 20%, with an average base wage of $22 per hour.

Amazon has firmly denied the Teamsters’ claims and accused the union of misleading the public.

Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel pushed back against the union’s narrative, stating:

“For more than a year now, the Teamsters have continued to intentionally mislead the public – claiming that they represent ‘thousands of Amazon employees and drivers.’ They don’t, and this is another attempt to push a false narrative.”

Furthermore, Amazon argues that many of the striking workers are not even direct employees of the company but rather work for third-party Delivery Service Partners.

It is worth noting that Amazon has been actively working to improve the conditions of its workforce.

For instance, the company increased driver pay in September in response to employee feedback.

Additionally, Amazon has invested heavily in safety measures and employee benefits.

By timing this strike just days before Christmas, the union seems keen on dealing maximum damage to both Amazon and its customers.
