(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Former Trump strategist Steve Bannon has delivered a stark warning to MAGA supporters: beware of billionaire betrayal.
In a blistering criticism, Bannon took a shot at tech titans like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, claiming that their allegiance to the Republican cause is merely a temporary power play.
Known for his outspoken political views, Bannon did not mince words when saying that influential billionaires could potentially ditch the Republican Party.
He drew parallels to their previous departure from the Democrat Party, suggesting that these power players are driven solely by self-interest rather than genuine commitment to conservative values.
“They seek power. Right now, their feeling is they can see the math and they see that we have a built-in coalition. So they’re with us…but only temporarily,” Bannon warned.
Bannon’s criticism extended to specific tech billionaires, including Musk, whom he labeled a “parasitic illegal immigrant.”
Although President Donald Trump appointed Musk to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Bannon remains skeptical of the Tesla CEO’s true allegiance to the MAGA movement.
“I wish him a lot of luck,” Bannon stated. “But I am not a transhumanist. I’m very anti-oligarch.”
“There’s certain things about the oligarchs, not just Elon, but also the oligarchs that, you know, the Bezos and Zuckerberg, particularly, all these guys don’t support us. And people have to understand, and CNN audience ought to understand, they don’t support MAGA,” he added.
This warning comes at a crucial time for the Republican Party, as it rallies around President Trump’s America First agenda.
Bannon’s message is clear: true conservative values and the MAGA agenda cannot be entrusted to fair-weather allies who prioritize profit over patriotism.
Still, some may question Bannon’s motives, given his own legal troubles, including a prison sentence for defying a congressional subpoena.
However, his warning resonates with many conservatives wary of the growing influence of Big Tech in politics.
“You can tell President Trump doesn’t totally trust the oligarchs,” Bannon observed, hinting at a potential rift between the president and his billionaire supporters.
As the 2026 midterms approach, Bannon’s warning serves as a rallying cry for true conservatives to remain vigilant and not be swayed by the false promises of suspect allies.
He argues the MAGA movement must rely on its grassroots support and unwavering commitment to American values rather than the fleeting allegiance of billionaire opportunists.
