Bernie Sanders Asks Voters to Overlook Biden’s Age and Consider Policies

( – Senator Bernie Sanders has shown support for Joe Biden despite his “terrible” debate, and he has recently spoken out to Democratic voters across the country. Joe Biden was seen on television next to his opponent, Donald Trump, during their first election debate and the results of Biden’s debate were not something that many people were proud of.

Sanders, who is notably older than Biden, has said that voters should not focus on age, but instead on policy despite the concerns around Biden’s mental capability.

“Biden is old. He’s not as articulate as he once was. I wish he could jump up the steps on Air Force One. He can’t. What we have got to focus on is policy, whose policies have and will benefit the vast majority of the people in this country,” Sanders said.

He continued to say that he thinks people want a president with “guts to take on corporate America.” He mentioned issues like Medicare, Social Security, and Child Tax Credits to further show the importance of considering policy and voting for Biden.

Sanders said that sixty percent of people are living paycheck to paycheck and the majority of seniors in America are trying to live off of fifteen thousand dollars for an entire year. Said Sanders, “The American people want an agenda for the next four years that speaks to the needs of the working class of this country.”

He continued, “He has got to say, ‘I am prepared to take on corporate greed, massive income and wealth inequality and stand with the working class in this country.’”

Sanders ended his speech by stating that he was going to run for re-election as Senator of Vermont.
