(TheConservativeTimes.org) – The radical wing of the Democrat Party has been left making a fuzz after the Biden administration announced plans for a $8 billion arms sale to Israel.
The massive arms deal seeks to reinforce defense ties between the U.S. and Israel by providing advanced aircraft, missile defense systems and munitions.
It comes on top of at least $17.9 billion in military aid already provided to Israel since October 2023.
The U.S. State Department has informed Congress, highlighting the inclusion of medium-range air-to-air missiles, 155 mm artillery shells and Hellfire missiles.
The huge scale of this financial commitment restates America’s steadfast commitment to help its closest ally in the Middle East.
While the Biden administration asserts this sale is necessary for Israel’s immediate defense, most of these weapons will actually take years to deliver.
Much to the left’s displeasure, this arms sale is being pushed through despite the Democrats’ growing concerns about casualties in Gaza.
Radical Democrats have echoed Hamas’ claims that the conflict has devastated Gaza and displaced about 90% of its 2.3 million population.
They have even believed and shared the unreliable news provided by the terrorist group’s health ministry, which announced that thousands of Palestinians have been killed in the conflict.
The Biden administration even caved to these Democrat extremists’ demands by pausing some arms shipments in the past.
However, the administration has also raised eyebrows due to the flip-flopping nature of the deal.
Even though the Biden administration has raised concerns about the humanitarian situation in Gaza, it is now arming Israel to the teeth.
This two-faced approach has been labeled a typical move of the current administration’s foreign policy – weak, indecisive and potentially harmful to America’s interests.
It is worth noting that this arms sale still requires review by Congress, as it must pass either the House Foreign Affairs Committee or the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
