BREAKING NOW: Unsuspecting patrons saw their lives change in the blink of an eye when a nightclub ceiling collapsed on them, killing 13 and injuring over 90 during a packed concert earlier today.

Watch the video down below.

The catastrophic failure at the Jet Set Club in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, trapped dozens under rubble while emergency responders scrambled to save lives.

The ceiling came crashing down on unsuspecting concertgoers as a live band performed.

Video footage captured the horrifying moment when the structure gave way, sending hundreds fleeing for safety while others became trapped beneath the debris.

Dominican Republic’s Emergency Operations Center director Juan Manuel Mendez confirmed the rising death toll.

The band’s saxophonist was among those killed in the collapse, with many others suffering serious injuries that overwhelmed local medical facilities.

The massive emergency response included 77 ambulances, eight fire trucks, and hundreds of first responders.

Over 200 National Police members and 50 soldiers rushed to assist in the rescue operations, working through the night to locate survivors.

Emergency officials report that some victims remained conscious under the rubble, communicating with rescuers as they worked to free them.

Eight hospitals were placed on red alert to handle the influx of injured, including Cuban, Royal, Modern, and UCE medical centers.

Journalist Anibelca Rosario reported that at least 125 people required medical treatment, stretching emergency services to their limits.

Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader released a statement acknowledging the tragedy:

“We deeply regret the tragedy that occurred at the Jet Set nightclub. We have followed the incident minute by minute since it occurred. All relief agencies have provided the necessary assistance and are working tirelessly in the rescue efforts. Our prayers are with the affected families.”

Questions remain about building safety standards and enforcement in the Dominican Republic.

Family members gathered outside the collapsed structure, desperate for information about their loved ones.

“We don’t know anything, no one is answering their phones,” said one distraught person at the scene.

The fate of concert singer Rubby Perez remains unknown, adding to the confusion and anxiety as rescue operations continue.

The Dominican Republic National Police released footage of the recovery operation, showing the extensive damage and difficult conditions first responders face.

This tragedy follows a recent nightclub fire in North Macedonia that also claimed multiple lives.
