(TheConservativeTimes.org) – In a shocking twist, the general election between Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Kamala Harris ended in a stunning tie in the small town of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire.

The historic New Hampshire hamlet is known for its first-in-the-nation midnight voting dating back to 1960.

The midnight voting tradition began to accommodate railway workers’ schedules. Town moderator Neil Tillotson adopted this practice after hearing about it from a reporter.

Today, the ballots were cast in the Tillotson House’s living room instead of the under-renovation Balsams Resort.

The town saw its six registered voters split evenly between Trump and Harris, each receiving three votes.

This result is a far cry from the 2020 election when Dixville Notch unanimously supported Joe Biden.

The change also highlights the shifting political landscape and growing dissatisfaction with the current administration.

Biden’s absence from the ballot has been a decisive issue. Tensions between New Hampshire Democrats and the Democrat National Committee have caused this unprecedented situation.

This internal party conflict further exposes the dysfunction within the Democrat establishment.

Despite having four registered Republicans and two unaffiliated voters, only three cast their ballots for Trump.

Even more troubling is the revelation that Leslie “Lee” Otten, a self-proclaimed lifelong Republican, chose to vote for Harris.

“We are executing our rights, democracy. One hundred percent of our population is voting, albeit six people, but it’s still 100%. We’re doing it of our own free will…It feels as though we’re doing something that’s important,” Otten said.

Despite its tiny size, Dixville Notch has captured America’s curiosity. The town draws considerable media attention from around the globe, including reporters from as distant as Hong Kong.
