(TheConservativeTimes.org) – According to reports, liberal political pundit and comedian Bill Maher, host of the HBO program “Real Time with Bill Maher,” recently raised the alarm about the possibility of Joe Biden standing for re-election in 2024. Maher is taking it upon himself to say out loud what many members of the extreme left wing of the Democrat Party have thought but seldom say. Biden’s too old to be running again.
The phrase “Ruth Bader Biden,” coined by Maher, describes a leader who doesn’t know when to stand down and puts his party and country in danger. Maher likened Biden to the legendary late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Despite the fact that a more liberal judge might have replaced her, Ginsburg famously chose not to leave during the Obama administration. She passed away in September 2020 during the Trump administration.
Maher said someone has to tell former President Biden that running for reelection will result in his handing power back to Trump and earning the same reputation as Ruth Bader Biden, the individual who doesn’t know when to stop and so does immense harm to their party and nation.
Maher continued by claiming that his remarks couldn’t be interpreted as ageism since each situation is unique. Maher further said that Biden’s many presidential gaffes proved his opinion.
Maher addressed President Joe Biden on X (Twitter) saying he gave honorable service to the nation, but it’s time to let somebody else do the job. You certainly don’t want to be remembered as “Ruth Bader Biden.”
Maher is not alone in his viewpoint.
Joe Scarborough of MSNBC said a month ago that all of the Democrats he has talked to share the conviction that Joe Biden is too elderly to compete for re-election. Maher is not alone in his viewpoint on this matter.
