(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Classifying these coordinated acts of violence as domestic terrorism, the FBI has launched a specialized task force to investigate the alarming surge of attacks against Tesla properties.
Elon Musk, a key ally of President Trump and head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has become a lightning rod for leftist rage.
The radical perpetrators now face serious federal charges that could put them behind bars for decades.
The FBI task force includes personnel from the ATF and the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division.
It was formed after at least 48 reported incidents targeting Tesla vehicles, dealerships, and charging stations this month.
FBI Director Kash Patel has established a command post at FBI headquarters and implemented a threat tag to track the growing number of cases nationwide.
In Las Vegas, five Tesla cars were not only set on fire but also shot at, demonstrating the escalating violence.
Police in Austin, Texas, discovered multiple incendiary devices at a Tesla showroom, narrowly preventing what could have been a catastrophic attack.
The timing of these attacks coincides with Musk’s appointment to DOGE, suggesting politically motivated violence rather than random vandalism.
Law enforcement has already arrested three individuals in connection with the arson cases, with each suspect facing potential 20-year prison sentences.
“Acts of violence, vandalism, and domestic terrorism — like the recent Tesla attacks — will be pursued with the full force of the law,” stated Director Patel.
Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Justice Department have announced charges against the three suspects currently in custody.
More arrests are expected as the FBI utilizes security footage and cell phone data to solve additional cases.
The investigation also uncovered a website with a map of Tesla locations featuring a Molotov cocktail cursor, which was clearly intended to encourage further attacks.
The FBI identified a site called “Dogeque.st” involved in doxxing Tesla employees, which briefly went offline but has since resurfaced on the dark web.
Originating from Sao Tome, the site represents just one arm of what appears to be a coordinated campaign against Musk and his companies.
Regarding the attacks, Musk said:
“It’s really come as quite a shock to me that there is this level of real hatred and violence from the left. I thought the left, you know, Democrats, were supposed to be the party of empathy, the party of caring. And yet they’re burning down cars. They’re firebombing dealerships. They’re firing bullets into dealerships. They’re just smashing up Teslas.”
A radical group calling itself Tesla Takedown is organizing protests at Tesla showrooms and Supercharger stations on March 29, 2025.
While it claims its movement is nonviolent, the group’s rhetoric against Musk accuses him of “undermining democracy,” language that has previously incited violence from the left.
President Trump has taken a tough stance on the perpetrators, promising severe penalties for those carrying out these attacks against American businesses.
Meanwhile, Tesla’s sales and stock have declined, with delivery projections down by over 4% in the first quarter as the company grapples with the fallout from these attacks.
