Harris’ Office in Arizona Damaged By Gunfire

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Kamala Harris’ office in Arizona used by her campaign was shot in the second gun attack in a week, according to investigators and local police.

In Tempe, Arizona, police responded to a call from staffers about damages that were seen when they went to the office. There were at least five bullies holes in the windows and the door.

Tempe Police spokesperson Sergeant Ryan Cook said, “No one was inside the office during the overnight hours, but this raises concerns about the safety of those who work in that building, as well as those nearby.”

Police said that they were taking “additional measures” to ensure the safety of all the people that work in that office. They have not determined a motive for the shooting just yet, but the investigation is ongoing.

One week ago the same office was shot at in what police said was an incident involving a BB or pellet gun. Arizona Democratic Party Chair Yolanda Bejarano spoke out against the vandalism in a statement.

She said, “It’s extremely sad that the Arizona Democratic Party has become the target of violence — it’s not who we are as Arizonans or Americans. We are working with law enforcement to ensure this threat is taken seriously and that our staff members are safe while they’re at work.”

Law enforcement have been on high alert as the election inches closer and the increased rate of violence and threats continue. There’s been concern regarding the safety of politicians and poll workers as many have received threats.
