(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Kamala Harris has pressed a forceful case against Donald Trump during their first debate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The debate showed just how different their views on abortion, immigration, and American democracy is. The Vice President provoked Trump as she spoke about the 2020 election and spoke against his false claims that he continued to make during the debate.
Trump called out Harris as he talked about Harris’ continuation of Biden’s unpopular administration. He made personal attacks despite his advisers trying to steer him away from that type of debate style.
Harris’ performance at the debate is essentially the opposite of what was seen from Joe Biden during his first debate with Donald Trump. She responded with sharp and focused answers that showed the contrast between her and Trump. Despite the candidate’s microphones being off as the other spoke, Harris made it clear with her facial expressions just how she felt about Trump’s responses.
Harris continued to speak out against Donald Trump and stated that she’s spoken to foreign leaders who “laugh at Donald Trump” and that she’s spoken to military leaders who “say you’re a disgrace.”
Trump also dove into Harris’ racial identity, but she responded by pointing to Trump and saying, “I think the American people want better than that, want better than this.”
Donald Trump continued to question Kamala Harris on why she hasn’t acted on specific proposed ideas as Vice President, but expects Americans to believe her proposals will come to fruition as President.
Both candidates have spoken about their policies on certain topics like border control, abortion, tax cuts, education, and many other topics that showcase the different views between the candidates as we approach election time.
