HORRIBLE TRAGEDY: 44 Rescue Dogs Killed in Fire

Bright orange and yellow flames burning intensely.

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – In a shocking tragedy, 44 innocent shelter dogs died in a devastating fire at a New York animal rescue facility.

The heartbreaking incident happened at the No Dogs Left Behind building in Canton, and a passerby who noticed the flames reported it.

No Dogs Left Behind is an organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from Asia’s meat market industry and war-torn countries.

The fire quickly swept through the Maple Ridge Kennels building, making it impossible for firefighters to save the trapped animals.

“Each dog was a member of our family. Tragically, they are victims once again. We have no words to express our grief,” No Dogs Left Behind stated in the fire’s aftermath.

While St. Lawrence County officials are investigating the cause of the fire, this incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers animal shelters face.

“We have a long list of things that we check every night before we leave the shelter, “Potsdam Humane Society director Victoria Murray said about the fears of a fire breaking out.

“There are so many fire precautions and temperatures and fire doors…making sure everything’s unplugged and double-checked,” she added.

On the bright side, though, no firefighters or other people were injured in the incident. Moreover, the organization’s owner plans to rebuild and ensure that stricter fire safety measures are implemented.
