Huge Telecommunications Outage Affects Several United States Cities?!

Mobile Telecommunications Outages For Many Americans

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – It’s been reported that cellular outages and disruptions of services have been experienced by thousands in several United States cities.

AT&T was the most affected U.S. phone company, as it’s the largest in the United States, but all phone carriers including AT&T, Verizon, and TMobile were affected. Many companies denied that the problem was caused by their networks.

By 7 am on the East Coast, there were more than 50,000 reports of outages and disruptions to service from customers. America’s largest cities such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Boston experienced vast outages.

AT&T reported by noon that 75% of its network was restored, but the Federal Communications Commission is investigating the situation, as well as AT&T with the assistance of the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency..

According to the San Francisco Fire Department, people’s ability to reach emergency services was affected by the outages and disruptions. They put out a statement saying “We are aware of an issue impacting AT&T wireless customers from making and receiving any phone calls.”

Multiple people who were affected by the outages came out on social media platforms like X, expressing their frustrations. One person wrote, “The #attoutage is affecting people’s livelihood. My dad drives Uber and can’t make a living until his cell service is working. Are you going to be refunding people @ATT?”

It also attracted political attention; John Kirby, a White House spokesperson, said “We are being told AT&T has no reason to think this was a cyber or security incident. But the bottom line is we don’t have all the answers.”
