( – Pakistan recently spoke out about Iran sending a strike on Pakistani territory and officials from Pakistan referred to it as an “unprovoked attack on their territory.”

Bases in Pakistan were struck by the Iran Revolution Guard, targeting the Sunni Muslim militant group Jaish al-Adl. Pakistan leaders spoke out saying this was a “blatant violation” and spoke about how it killed two children.

A Pakistan resident spoke about the airstrikes and said that a village near the Iranian border, Sabz Koh was hit. “We hear the blasts and sound of missiles,” said the resident, and he continued to say that they “have never seen any kind of military activists in the area over the last 5 years.”

In a statement on Tuesday a spokesperson for the Pakistani Ministry mentioned that was “even more concerning that this illegal act has taken place despite the existence of several channels of communication between Pakistan and Iran.” Many are surprised by the attack if anything, as it seemed unprompted.

Iran’s attack comes after tons of attacks by Houthi rebels on ships in the Red Sea. This has been an ongoing issue for a while and many officials have asked the Houthis group to stop seizing ships in the Red Sea as it’s causing many different problems with trade and transportation through that area.

The Houthis have been attacking ships for months now despite interventions from other countries. The United States and the British militaries, along with others, have tried to stop the seizing of the ships by firing at Houthi missile sites. The Houthi military has claimed that their goal here is to stop Israeli ships from crossing, claiming that they are helping with controlling the Israel-Gaza war, but many other officials don’t see it that way as they’ve been firing at non-Israeli ships.

The Hamas-Israel war has pushed for a more violent agenda across the world in many countries as it has sparked other violent acts, such as this. The United States deemed the Iranian strike as “reckless” and they said that it showed the risk that is accumulating of war between Iran and Israel.

Many residents have spoken out about the war, violence in their residencies, and how it affects them. One Gaza resident said, “My house was bombed and I fled here without bringing anything with me, not even money. We need food, bread, and blankets,” Youssef Abu Ishaq said.

This war has sparked many acts of violence as other officials look into a ceasefire or sending more aid to Israel for Gaza. However, controversies around this have also surfaced as people wonder about the true intentions of some who are aiding the war.
