(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Comedian and frequent guest Duncan Trussell joined podcast host and mixed martial arts commentator Joe Rogan for a new episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” in which both had some harsh criticism for leftists and Democrats as well as compliments for former President Donald Trump.
During the new episode, Rogan and Trussell discussed how the anti-war left of their youth seems to have mostly disappeared and how the Democratic Party, as well as some Republicans, are egging on the war between Ukraine and Russia. Rogan also pointed out how Trump is one of the only leaders making an effort to bring the war to an end.
Rogan described the war as a “complex issue” and criticized the rhetoric from some politicians who are instigating the conflict rather than trying to de-escalate it. Trussel compared their attitude to a “pep rally” for murder. Rogan responded by lamenting the absence of the anti-war left he remembers from when he was younger, claiming Democrats were “always anti-war.”
The popular podcast host claimed it’s “the first time” that Democrats are “wholesale buying the narrative” that Russian President Vladimir Putin must be stopped and Ukraine supported. He pointed out how many “peaceful people” who once displayed syringe emojis in their bio on Twitter have replaced them with a Ukraine flag.
Rogan then praised Trump for recent statements the former president made in May on CNN during a town hall. Trump said he could end the war overnight if he gets back into the White House, claiming he could have the “war settled” in just 24 hours by meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Putin.
Trump was asked which side he wanted to see win the conflict, to which he answered that he wants “everybody to stop dying” on both sides.
Rogan criticized CNN for trying to play “gotcha!” with Trump, whose response Rogan described as “perfect.”
