(TheConservativeTimes.org) – It is highly possible that President Biden carried out impeachable crimes, according to just-elected House Speaker Mike Johnson, who has pledged to ‘follow the truth’ wherever it goes.
In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, the Louisiana Republican said he plans to keep looking into whether or not the Biden family profited financially from links with foreign governments when Joe Biden was vice president.
Johnson said they moved to impeachment proceedings against the president because they feel the evidence points in that direction. It looks like bribery, he said, noting that the Constitution lists bribery as a ground for impeachment.
Reports show on the same day that Joe Biden received a $200,000 check from his brother, James Biden received an exact financial transfer from a US hospital business after agreeing to use his political associations to find a Middle Eastern investor.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky) demanded that Biden explain the timing of the two transfers in an interview with the media.
After promising to bring Biden’s family before his panel shortly to explain the president’s connections with their acquaintances from nations including Ukraine and China, Comer asked White House lawyer Edward Siskel for specifics on what Biden loyalists believe was the ‘repayment of a loan’ between brothers.
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Maryland) said alleged documentation showed that the loan occurred about two months before the March 1, 2018 check. The chairman of the Oversight Committee publicly scoffed at the idea that the six-figure check was a loan repayment and wrote that there is no proof that Joe Biden ever loaned his brother that amount.
A report shows Comer had previously sought special counsel Robert Hur to reveal if President Biden had inappropriately maintained any secret records during his Vice Presidency, including those dealing with nations where Hunter Biden had business interests.
Joe Biden has denied knowing anything about the financial affairs of his son and brother.
Since Joe Biden’s term as Vice President, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has said that the FBI has received criminal information from over forty confidential human sources on President Biden, his son Hunter, and the President’s brother, James Biden.
Fox News acquired a letter from Grassley alleging that the Washington Field Office task force had stifled reporting from sources, thus ending the investigation.
