(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Vice President Kamala Harris addressed young, up-and-coming voters, promoting the Democratic Party’s pro-choice agenda in an interview with Teen Vogue, attempting to motivate young women to support abortion rights.
Teen Vogue said in the article that the Supreme Court stripped away “bodily rights and autonomy” for millions of Americans after overturning Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. It went on to state that the vice president is “making sure it stays top of mind for Democratic leaders going forward.”
In a bid to motivate young would-be voters, Harris said that she wanted the readers of Teen Vogue to know that they are “leaders by virtue of reading this,” and that she is counting young women who read the teen outlet because their perspectives are “so important to the future of our country.”
Harris also encouraged the magazine’s readers to believe that young voters have the power to “change the composition of Congress,” to ensure those in charge are “protecting fundamental freedoms.”
Harris has long made a habit of calling those who are opposed to abortion “extremists,” which Teen Vogue considers to be the first part of the vice president’s “two-pronged approach” when discussing “anti-choice” lawmakers. The second part of the approach is Harris’s effort to call out the so-called “hypocrisy” of those lawmakers who claim to care about the health of women and babies.
The vice president’s pro-choice interview with Teen Vogue comes as she has reportedly taken the lead on the Biden administration’s pro-abortion agenda. On May 15, Breitbart reported that Harris had convened 14 women who were also abortion experts from around the country to seek advice on how to spread the pro-abortion message throughout the country better, as well as how to counter the opposing views posed by Republican lawmakers on both the state and federal level.
Breitbart also reported on June 12 that the country’s largest pro-abortion PAC is expected to spend more than $10 million to market Harris’ image during the 2024 presidential campaign.
