MEAT RECALL – Health Risk Uncovered!

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – The government’s incompetence strikes again as the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) recalls over 10,000 pounds of pork products due to a lack of federal oversight.

Impero Foods & Meats, Inc., a Baltimore-based company, is recalling a staggering 7,485 pounds of raw pork sausage products.

These products were distributed without proper federal inspection, making them health hazards with allergen risks.

The recalled products include 10-lb white cardboard box cases of “Old World Italian Sausage” with “rope” or “link” handwritten on the case.

These potentially dangerous items have the establishment number “EST. 10827” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The sausages were distributed to unsuspecting restaurants and retailers in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

While no illnesses have been reported yet, the lack of proper inspection leaves consumers vulnerable to unknown risks.

In the meantime, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) claims to be conducting recall effectiveness checks.

Adding to this food safety fiasco, Ralph’s Packing Company in Oklahoma is recalling 3,132 pounds of their Garlic Bologna due to undeclared dairy, a common allergen.

This mislabeling puts those with dairy allergies at risk of severe reactions, including potentially life-threatening anaphylaxis.

The bologna may have been sold at deli counters in Oklahoma since September 2022. That is over two years of potential exposure to unsuspecting consumers with dairy allergies.

The USDA’s bureaucratic incompetence does not end there. It now advises consumers to dispose of any matching raw sausage products and consult a healthcare provider if they experience illness after consumption.

In other words, it is telling hardworking Americans to throw away food they have already paid for because the government failed to do its job.

This massive recall affects four U.S. states: Oklahoma, Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. The USDA provides a Meat and Poultry Hotline for those seeking more information.
