Netanyahu Invited to Speak In Front of Congress Amid New Peace Deal

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – President Joe Biden has been urging Hamas to accept a new peace deal from Israel. There have been some questions regarding the details of this proposal and whether or not it originally came from Israel.

To squash any speculation that the proposal isn’t backed by Israel, Biden has invited Netanyahu to speak in front of Congress.

Netanyahu’s office released a statement saying, “The Israeli government is united in the desire to return our hostages as soon as possible and is working to achieve this goal.”

It continued, “Therefore, the Prime Minister authorized the negotiating team to present an outline for achieving this goal, while insisting that the war will not end until all of its goals are achieved, including the return of all our hostages and the elimination of Hamas’ military and governmental capabilities.”

After Biden’s announcement, Congress wrote a letter addressed to Netanyahu inviting him to speak, saying, “To build on our enduring relationship and to highlight America’s solidarity with Israel, we invite you to share the Israeli government’s vision for defending democracy, combating terror and establishing a just and lasting peace in the region.”

Biden said that this plan would be a three-tiered ceasefire plan which was agreed upon after intense negotiations between Qatar, Israel, Egypt, and other Middle Eastern countries. Biden claimed that the deal was a “roadmap to an enduring ceasefire and the release of all hostages.”

They stated that trucks of aid would be sent every single day and the negotiations would continue. The deal is in Phase One now, Phase Two would include releasing all living hostages, and Phase Three includes a reconstruction plan for Gaza.
