(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Portuguese authorities found online chats from a convicted sexual predator that could link him to the infamous Madeline McCann case. These new clues point to the offender’s aspirations of killing a girl and recording the experience.
Three-year-old Madeline McCann was abducted from her parents’ hotel room in 2007, in Praia da Luz, Portugal, when the family was on vacation.
The convicted predator, Christian Brueckner, has not yet received any charges in the Madeline McCann Case. Portugal law enforcement has named him the prime suspect in the ongoing investigation.
Madeline’s parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, were some of the detectives’ first suspects. The investigators questioned McCann’s parents. They thought the caregivers had hidden the girl’s body and staged her disappearance. McCann’s mother said she was told she would receive a shorter sentence if she confessed to concealing Madeline’s death.
In 2008, Madeline McCann’s parents were no longer considered suspects. The Portuguese officials apologized to McCann’s parents for their manner of dealing with the kidnapping investigation. However, many spectators viewed the caregivers as suspicious for many years after the kidnapping took place.
The prime suspect in the girl’s case, Christian Brueckner, sent messages to another pedophile. Hans Christian Wolters is a public prosecutor from Braunschweig, Germany. He believes these messages may offer new clues that could help in Madeline’s missing person case. Brueckner wrote that he wanted to “document” himself kidnapping and murdering a young girl. The other pedophile responded with “mm” after Brueckner said he planned on “destroying evidence.”
Wolters thinks the conversation between the two pedophiles offers new clues that could help in the McCann abduction case. He wonders if the “mm” stands for Madeline McCann, was an onomatopoeic expression, or was something else. Wolters said the messages hold great value and could be a part of a “big puzzle.”
Stories from people who know Brueckner depict him as a violent man who was a member of a gang when he was young. A man who refused to give his name said he knew that Brueckner assaulted his teenage girlfriend. Brueckner was in his 30s at the time. The man said Brueckner is “sweet” when you first meet him. He becomes a “psychopath” later on.
A manager of a bar remembered seeing him have “fits of rage.” An ex-employee of Brueckner said the suspect had a “long knife and wanted to stab” him. The man assumed Brueckner may have been under the influence of some drug.
In February, Brueckner is expected to be tried for allegedly committing three rapes and for attacking two children. McCann was abducted in Praia da Luz. This city is the same city where two of the rapes occurred. Right now, Brueckner is in prison in Oldenburg, Germany for raping a senior citizen.
