Putin’s Two-Hour Interview Discussing “Obsessive Ideas”

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Russian President Vladimir Putin was recently interviewed by the conservative United States Journalist Tucker Carlson and the interview has led to a lot of controversy.

Carlson has been honest about his opinion when it comes to the war going on in Ukraine which has lasted three years now. Carlson has stated that the Russian-Ukraine war is a “border dispute” and he has encouraged the United States to stop sending aid packages to Ukraine. He’s also referred to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian’s president, as a “pimp” and a “rat.”

The goal of the interview seemed to be pretty obvious as they spoke about the issues at hand. Essentially Vladimir Putin is looking to push Tucker Carlson to get Republicans not to support the aid of Ukraine and to instead focus on their own issues.

Putin told Carlson, “You have issues on the border, issues with migration, issues with the national debt.” He continued, “You have nothing better to do, so you should fight in Ukraine? Wouldn’t it be better to negotiate with Russia?”

The main goal for Putin seemed to be convincing America to stop supporting Ukraine and to stop sending them weapons, saying, “If you really want to stop fighting, you need to stop supplying weapons. It will be over within a few weeks. That’s it. Then we can agree on some terms.”

Carlson responded, saying, “So, twice you’ve described US presidents making decisions and then being undercut by their agency heads. So, it sounds like you’re describing a system that’s not run by the people who are elected in your telling.”

Many spoke out responding to the interview. “Because all of these anecdotes about Prince Vladimir and Rurik have to tell all skeptics just one thing – this man has obsessive ideas,” a charity leader in Kyiv, Maria Kucherenko, said in response.

“Tucker goddamned Carlson served very well as a microphone stands for the crazy maniac who for two hours rambled about how he loves to kill Ukrainians,” says Svetlana Chunikhina who is the Vice President of the Association of Political Psychologists.

“They’re two losers trying to support each other, trying to voice their conspiracy theories,” said a drone operator for the Ukrainian military. Many are taking a stand for Ukraine and pushing towards what they say is the “truth” regarding the war.
