Ramaswamy Advisor Moves from PAC to Direct Campaign

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – According to a report, a top staffer in New Hampshire for Vivek Ramaswamy’s associated super PAC is jumping ship to join the candidate’s campaign.

This week, Ramaswamy’s campaign welcomed Michael Biundo.
Scott Schweitzer, an operative from Columbus, Ohio, is staying in his position as co-chair of the PAC.

Biundo, a political strategist located in New Hampshire, has worked on nine campaigns for the presidency. During 2016, Biundo was a Senior Advisor for both the Trump and Ron Paul presidential campaigns. After working as Rick Santorum’s national campaign manager in 2012, he became Romney’s National Deputy Coalitions director.

The former biotech CEO has spent a great deal of time campaigning in New Hampshire, and this shift, verified by Ramaswamy’s campaign, shows an increased emphasis on the state.

Ben Yoho, Ramaswamy’s campaign CEO, stated that hiring Mike Biundo as National Senior Advisor is evidence that the campaign is stepping up its game in the early states and throughout the country. Biundo is one of a select group of strategists who have helped run successful campaigns in both New Hampshire and Iowa, two early states crucial to the success of any presidential candidate.

A report shows that Ramaswamy profits from a super PAC, yet he rants against their corrupting influence.

When reporters questioned Ramaswamy about this in New Hampshire, he stated the system should be altered so that you may only donate a maximum of $3,300 to a candidate for either the primary or general election. He did, however, say that it is perfectly OK for unaffiliated groups to share their views on controversial topics.

Ramaswamy referred to his rivals as “circus monkeys” during an appearance on The Young Turks this week.

His examples were Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, all of whom he said were little more than “vessels” for their respective super PACs in the Republican primary.

If the other contenders did the same, Ramaswamy said he would openly ask any super PAC backing him to return funds to megadonors.
