(TheConservativeTimes.org) – A poll released on June 14 found that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the environmental lawyer challenging Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination, has a higher net favorability rating than many of the other candidates running for president in 2024.
According to last week’s Economist/YouGov poll, Kennedy’s net favorability is 19 points, with 49 percent of respondents having a favorable outlook of the Democratic candidate and only 30 percent having an unfavorable view. Most notable, however, is that 21 percent of respondents were undecided about the Kennedy scion.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump held a net favorability of negative 10, with only 43 percent perceiving the former president favorably, while 53 percent regarded him unfavorably.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ net favorability was also underwater, but not nearly as much, with 41 percent of respondents replying to DeSantis favorably and 46 percent considering him unfavorably, for a net favorability of negative 5 percent.
Meanwhile, 45 percent of respondents viewed President Biden favorably, while 52 percent saw him unfavorably, placing him 7 points underwater.
While Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy was 7 points above water, with 26 percent of respondents viewing him favorably and 19 percent unfavorably, a staggering 55 percent had no opinion one way or the other.
Also above water was Republican Senator Tim Scott, with 33 percent viewing him favorably and only 25 percent unfavorably. Another 43 percent said they didn’t know enough about Scott to say.
Trump’s former vice president, Republican Mike Pence, had a net favorability of negative 17, with only 36 percent of respondents viewing him favorably and 53 percent unfavorably.
The candidate with the worst score was former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, with 27 percent favorable and 51 percent unfavorable, leaving him with a net favorability of negative 24.
The survey was conducted among 1,500 adults between June 10 and June 13.
