(TheConservativeTimes.org) – In a tragic turn of events, a deadly plane crash at Scottsdale Airport involving a jet owned by Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil has left one person dead and four injured.

Owned by Neil but not carrying him at the time, the Learjet 35A veered off the runway after its left main landing gear failed upon touchdown.

The aircraft then collided with a parked Gulfstream 200 business jet, resulting in a tragic loss of life and multiple injuries.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA):

“A Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing and crashed into a Gulfstream 200 business jet on the ramp at Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Arizona…The FAA is temporarily pausing flights into the airport.”

The crash killed the pilot, while the co-pilot and two passengers, including Neil’s girlfriend and her friend, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

This incident is part of a troubling series of recent aviation disasters in the U.S., including a collision between a Black Hawk helicopter and a passenger plane.

Additionally, a commuter plane recently crashed in Alaska, raising concerns about the overall safety of air travel.

The band issued a statement through Neil’s legal representative:

“For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane. On board Mr. Neil’s plane were two pilots and two passengers. Mr. Neil was not on the plane. More specific details regarding the collision are not available as this is a rapidly evolving situation and there is an ongoing investigation. Mr. Neil’s thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today.”

Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky also stepped in to express condolences and gratitude to first responders, highlighting the community’s shock and the need for a thorough investigation.

“Today, Scottsdale sadly experienced an aircraft accident at our airport. Based on the information provided thus far, it appears at least one person is dead after two jets collided on the runway at Scottsdale Airport,” Borowsky stated.

Meanwhile, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the FAA have launched investigations into the crash.

The incident occurred just weeks before Mötley Crüe’s scheduled Las Vegas Residency in March.

While the band has expressed support for the family of the deceased pilot and offered condolences to all affected, the crash’s timing raises questions about the potential impact on their tour plans.
