(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Reminding Americans where to point fingers for the terrible New Year’s Day terrorist attack in New Orleans, President-Elect Donald Trump slammed Democrats.
The horrific attack left 15 dead and over 30 injured after a white pickup truck with Texas plates plowed into a crowd on Bourbon Street.
Additionally, a shocking detail revealed that the suspect entered the U.S. through Eagle Pass, Texas, just two days before the attack.
Trump condemned the incident, saying:
“When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true. The crime rate in our country is at a level that nobody has ever seen before.”
“Our hearts are with all of the innocent victims and their loved ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police Department,” Trump added.
“The Trump Administration will fully support the City of New Orleans as they investigate and recover from this act of pure evil!” he continued.
In contrast, Joe Biden faced intense criticism for his delayed and insensitive response.
While Trump was addressing the nation, Biden posted a “Happy New Year” message on social media without mentioning the attack.
The lame-duck Democrat drew widespread condemnation for being “tone deaf” and “heartless.”
The investigation revealed disturbing details about the attack’s intentional nature.
New Orleans Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick confirmed the suspect wanted to cause maximum harm with homemade explosive devices that were found in the vehicle.
The attacker’s violent rampage ended in a shootout with police, wounding two officers before the suspect was killed.
