(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Donald Trump was out enjoying his time on Sunday as he played golf on his golf course for a breather from election campaigning.
During this time, the Secret Service with Donald Trump spotted a muzzle sticking out of the fence in the bushes at Trump’s West Palm Beach Golf Club. For the second time, someone set out to assassinate Trump, and they came dangerously close to doing that.
This incident, along with the previous assassination attempt, has been raising concerns of how to keep the former president safe; Trump already had increased security since the last assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The increased security includes dump trucks being parked outside of the Trump Tower and him speaking behind bulletproof glass at outdoor rallies.
Rafael Barros, special agent in charge of the Secret Service’s Miami field office, said, “The threat level is high. We live in dangerous times.”
This all came after Donald Trump and Kamala Harris’ recent debate which sparked controversy behind the former president and current vice president.
Donald Trump was golfing with Steve Witkoff at their fifth hole when they heard the gunshots. Moments after this, a fast golf cart scooped Donald Trump up and away from the scene to ensure his safety.
The Secret Service allegedly noticed the gunman and attempted to shoot him but missed. The Secret Service agents then created a barrier with their bodies around Trump to ensure his safety.
There isn’t much detail on the motive behind the shooting or if the suspect was initially targeting Donald Trump, but investigations are being made into the individual and a motive.
