(TheConservativeTimes.org) – The Music City Center is a venue that has hosted many events from craft beer conferences to Dolly Parton performances.
In July, the complex was hosting the biggest bitcoin conference of the year and the headline act was former President Donald Trump. Essentially, this time was used for Donald Trump to talk about where the crypto industry would stand in a possible second Trump term .
Trump said, “If crypto is going to define the future, I want it to be mined, minted and made in the USA.” He continued, “We will be creating so much electricity that you’ll be saying, ‘Please, please, President, we don’t want any more electricity. We can’t stand it!’”
This speech was solely pushing the benefits of crypto and expressing the former president’s interest in the industry. This is far from what he said at the beginning of his presidency in 2016 when he called cryptocurrency a “scam.”
Trump told the audience that he raised twenty five million dollars in crypto-related funds. There was a group of Bitcoiners behind the scenes that spent time convincing Trump of all the benefits that came with bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
Three people in Puerto Rico came together to convince Donald Trump of the bitcoin’s value. In bitcoin terminology, Trump was “orange-pilled,” which is a play on the “red pill” from the movie ‘The Matrix.’
Although many people tried to “orange-pill” Trump, the three friends from Puerto Rico were the ones that made the biggest difference. Amanda Fabiano, Tracy Hoyt’s-Lopez, and David Bailey all joined together to speak to Trump about the possibilities of crypto.
Fabiano said, “We were at dinner with a bunch of people, and David was like, ‘Hey, I’ve been talking to the administration, and I want to do a roundtable on mining, Can we chat this weekend?’” This is how the conversation with Trump began.
