Trump's Son Accidentally Insulted His Father On Video

( – During a podcast last week, Donald Trump Jr. attempted to attack his father’s main rival for the Republican nomination, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, but inadvertently blew it when he made a possible Freudian slip.

The younger Trump railed against the popular Florida governor, describing him as “effeminate” and “nasally.” But his rant hit a speed bump when Don Jr. misspoke, using his father’s name instead of DeSantis.¬†Midway through, Don Junior said, “Trump has the charisma of a mortician” and energy “that makes Jeb Bush look like an Olympian.”

For a brief moment, Don Junior appeared to realize he mistakenly described his father as being as charismatic as a mortician. But rather than correct his gaffe, he just kept going. Unsurprisingly, the video clip of the gaffe was met with laughter and derision from Twitter users, with many joking that Don Junior should lay off the cocaine.

For more than 6 months, Trump and his team of influencers have been hammering away at Ron DeSantis, fearful that the popular Republican Governor might jump into the 2024 race and monkey wrench Trump’s hope of an easy glide to the nomination.

Initially, the attacks were designed to scare DeSantis away from running, but that failed to work. Now that the governor has made his campaign official, the Trump camp’s attacks have become more frantic and desperate.

But none of Team Trump’s punches appear to be landing.

The New York Times reported last week that the DeSantis campaign raised $8.2 million in the first 24 hours after he officially launched his run for the nomination, coming very close to meeting the $9.5 million the Trump campaign raised in the first six weeks of his campaign.

Senator Tim Scott’s campaign boasted that it raised $2 million in the first 24 hours.

The Trump campaign’s 2024 fundraising has been grim so far. During the first quarter of 2023, Trump was only able to raise a paltry $14.5 million.
