(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Ukraine’s latest incursion into Kursk has led to the destruction of a Russian bridge. This specific bridge was necessary for carrying Russian supplies, and it’s the second bridge destroyed by Ukraine in this offensive move.
The bridge went across the Seym river into western Russia where Ukrainian forces have been engrossed in a large-scale ground incursion. Ukraine has said that they now control around eighty settlements in Russia, causing the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of Russians from the area.
The attack on the bridge was meant to deprive Russia of “logistical capabilities,” according to Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykolaiv Oleschuk. ”Minus one more bridge!” he added.
Oleschuk posted a video that showed large plumes of smoke coming from the bridge and a closer shot of the large hole left in the bridge from the attack.
This was following an attack on another bridge on the same river. Photos showed significant damage where a large piece of the bridge was completely missing.
Said Oleschuk, “Ukrainian pilots use high-precision strikes against enemy strongholds, accumulations of equipment, as well as enemy logistics centers and supply routes.”
Ukraine and Russia have been in an intense war and Ukraine has been slowly moving into Russian areas to gain advantage. Ukraine has been relying on help from the West to supply aid and weapons in order to hold their stance and move further into Russia.
Ukraine’s ability to destroy Russian bridges is most likely due to the additional aid supplied by the United States.
