Yulia Navalnaya Continues Her Husband’s Fight in Russia

Yulia Navalnaya Wants to Build a “Free Russia”

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Yulia Navalnaya, who is the wife of activist Alexei Navalny, has spoken out again and called on Russians to support her after her husband’s untimely passing.

Yulia’s husband, Alexei, had been an activist and politician who was being held in a Russian prison and had a sentence of 30 years. However, he was found deceased after taking a walk in the prison and his wife has been in the media since then. Yulia said early on that she believed that Putin had killed her husband and she spoke out saying this was still true and she would reveal why very soon.

Yulia recorded a 9-minute video where she called on Russians to support her after she’d found out that they would be keeping her husband’s body for another two weeks in order to conduct a “chemical examination” on it. Yulia continues shining light on their situation and pushing for Russia to acknowledge what happened.

“I shouldn’t have been in this place, I shouldn’t be recording this video. There should have been another person in my place. But that person was killed by Vladimir Putin,” she said. She continued saying that she “knew why Putin killed Alexei three days ago” and that she would soon reveal why.

Prior to her husband’s death, Yulia wasn’t usually in the spotlight, doing interviews, or giving the media any of her attention. She instead stood by her husband who was an open activist as he spoke out. However, now with her husband gone, she’s taking his place and continuing to fight for what he was trying to fight for.

She said, “I will continue Alexei Navalny’s work … I want to live in a free Russia, I want to build a free Russia.”

The video was released a few hours before she met with the EU foreign ministers as they put out new sanctions because of her husband’s death. She told them, “Never forget Russia is not Putin and Putin is not Russia,” essentially saying they have more power over it than they think they do.
