Highlighting the dangers Trump officials face for fulfilling their duties, Border Czar Tom Homan has revealed the “outrageous” threats he has received.
The man responsible for enforcing America’s immigration laws has been forced to distance himself from his loved ones for their safety.
All of this has happened while the border czar works to secure the nation’s borders against unprecedented invasion.
Homan disclosed on Miranda Devine’s podcast “Pod Force One” that his dedication to border security has come at a steep personal cost.
The death threats against him and his family have become so severe that he and his wife now live apart as a safety precaution.
“My wife’s living separately from me right now, mainly because I worked for many hours, but mostly because of the death threats against me. She’s someplace else. I see her as much as I can, but the death threats against me and my family are outrageous,” Homan said.
Since President Donald Trump appointed Homan as border czar following his re-election, southern border crossings have plummeted to record lows according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data.
This success has made him a target for those who oppose enforcing America’s immigration laws.
Homan has reported a 400% increase in assaults on federal immigration officers, highlighting the dangerous environment created by anti-enforcement rhetoric.
The situation has deteriorated to the point where Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are now wearing masks during operations to prevent being identified and doxed by radical activists.
“It’s just ridiculous we’re at the point in this country where those who enforce the laws are the bad guys, those who broke the law are the victims,” Homan said.
The veteran border enforcement official did not hesitate when duty called.
While dining with his wife, Homan received a phone call from President Trump personally asking him to return to government service.
Despite the financial sacrifice of leaving his private sector success, Homan’s wife encouraged him to accept.
“She said, ‘You need to go back or we’ll get divorced…because if you don’t go back, you’ll be waking up every day, pissed off that you didn’t go back, and I’ve gotta live with four more years of you being pissed off, so go back and do the job,'” Homan expressed.
Under Homan’s leadership, the Trump administration has deported roughly 200,000 illegal aliens, with ICE and DHS arresting over 100,000 people for immigration violations.
His effectiveness has made him a prime target for the left, who have organized protests at his upstate New York home and across the country.
The Trump administration’s Big Beautiful Bill Act aims to allocate billions for border enforcement and technology, giving Homan the resources needed to continue his mission despite personal threats.
Meanwhile, the border czar remains undeterred in his commitment to enforcing immigration laws and protecting American citizens from illegal entry, drug trafficking, and criminal activity.
