(TheConservativeTimes.org) – Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, demanded an ethics review of Marjorie Taylor Green, R. Georgia, for “unhinged rhetoric” in a letter on April 24 to the Office of Congressional Ethics board Chairman Paul Vinovich.
The letter outlines a number of Green’s statements about Biden on Twitter and Truth Social promoting conspiracy theories, publishing private photos and data, verbal attacks, and statements defaming Hunter Biden.
The letter reads, “Her actions are not merely the expression of political views or private “free speech” because she uses her official position to disseminate them and often expresses them in official proceedings.”
A second letter to the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) Deputy Inspector General Richard K. Delmar was also sent by Lowell on Biden’s behalf on April 24, 2023. This letter asked the OIG to investigate how Garrett Ziegler, a former aide to Peter Navarro (economic advisor to Donald Trump), acquired and published Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) from JPMorgan Chase regarding Biden’s financial activities.
SARs are confidential reports filed by financial institutions with the Treasury Department when transactions may indicate illegal activity. In Biden’s case, there were 5 SARs publicly released.
Eleven identical letters written in February 2023 by Biden’s legal team asked the recipients to retain and preserve potential evidence for expected litigation involving the private data. Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, and Rudy Giuliani were among some of the recipients of these litigation hold letters along with Zeigler.
Each of the eleven letters began, “You have made various statements and engaged in certain activities by your own admission, or that have been publicly reported in the media, concerning our client, Robert Hunter Biden (Mr. Biden). This letter constitutes notice that a litigation hold should be in effect for the preservation and retention of all records and documents related to Mr. Biden.”
President Joe Biden’s controversy-embroiled son will likely remain in the headlines as President Biden recently announced his bid for reelection in 2024.
