Expert Compares Hamas Attack to Nazi Mobile Killing Units

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – A former Israeli counter-terrorism advisor on Monday compared Hamas’ surprise attacks in Israel to the Nazi mobile killing units.

Yigal Carmon, who was a counter-terrorism advisor to several Israeli prime ministers, told the Times of Israel that the terror group’s indiscriminate slaughter of Israelis last Saturday reminded him of how the Einsatzgruppen mobile killing units operated in World War Two.

He said like the Einsatzgruppen, Hamas murdered Jews wherever they found them, even slaughtering whole families and young people at a concert.

Carmon said despite clear signs of escalation, Israel was caught off guard by Saturday’s surprise attacks. He said it wasn’t necessary to have cameras or “cyber” to see what was coming. He said all that was needed was to “look at our reckless policy” on Hamas over the past decade.

Israel formally declared war against Hamas on Sunday and began launching strikes against Hamas targets in Gaza as Hamas continued to fire rockets into Israel.

By Wednesday, the death toll in Israel had climbed to over 1,200, including fourteen Americans, with at least another 2,700 wounded, CBS News reported.

According to IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus, the spike in the death toll was due to the discovery of new victims of Hamas’ butchery and not from ongoing fighting.

In remarks on Tuesday at the White House, President Biden described Saturday’s deadly attacks as “an act of sheer evil” and confirmed that Americans were among those being held hostage by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The president said what happened to the Israeli people on Saturday at the “bloody hands” of Hamas was “pure, unadulterated evil.” He affirmed that the United States stands with its ally and vowed to ensure that Israel has what it needs to care for its people and respond to Hamas’ attack.
