(TheConservativeTimes.org) – With the presidential election coming up and the candidates coming in hot with campaigns and primary voting, the results are in from Nevada’s Republican Presidential primary.
Nikki Haley is a known runner against Donald Trump and they have been fighting hard in primary elections. With Donald Trump taking the win in a lot of presidential primaries, this one was different.
Donald Trump wasn’t even on Nevada’s ballot, and yet Nikki Haley lost. Although Donald Trump wasn’t on the ballot, and there was also no space for people to write him in as a candidate, they were able to mark “none of these candidates” instead.
Haley lost the primary due to people voting for “none” even though there were no other candidates listed on the ballot. Nikki Haley doesn’t seem to be worried about the Nevada primary results. Betsy Ankey, Haley’s campaign manager said “In terms of Nevada, we have not spent a dime nor an ounce of energy on Nevada. So Nevada is not and has never been our focus.”
The spokesperson for Haley’s campaign, Olivia Perez-Cubas, said “Even Donald Trump knows that when you play penny slots the house wins. We didn’t bother to play a game rigged for Trump. We’re full steam ahead in South Carolina and beyond.”
Some people feel like Haley has a chance at winning even in Nevada despite the results, while others are rooting for Trump to get another term. Nevada is also holding a Presidential caucus that will have Trump’s name on the ballot and those results will be revealed in time.
Some have said that Nevada’s caucus is meant to sway in Trump’s favor so they have opted out of being on that ballot as they don’t want to partake in something that has already been won by Trump.
