Woman Attempts to Hire Hitman in Walmart Parking Lot

(TheConservativeTimes.org) – According to a report, the Jacksonville, Florida Police Department was notified by Leah Davis’ 40-year-old coworker on August 11, 2019, saying she wanted a hitman to kill her soon-to-be ex-husband, Michael Davis (52). They were divorcing and planning for custody battles.

Michael was informed of her scheme on August 12, 2019, but advised to act like nothing was wrong. Police used a phony hitman to videotape Leah hiring him. She was taped cutting a deal with an undercover cop in a Walmart parking lot.

The report revealed that investigators informed Leah that Michael was slain in an August 20 conversation at Jacksonville police station. But the jig was up when the undercover hitman walked into the interview room. She was arrested that day.

Michael claimed he wasn’t angry with Leah but found hearing her confession difficult. Michael learned Leah gave the phony hitman her jewelry as a deposit for the “hit.” Leah informed the undercover hitman she would sell Michael’s vehicle for additional money after Michael was murdered.

It all started when Michael moved to Florida and met a dancer named Leah in a Jacksonville club. The report shows that Michael had been warned about her when they met in 2007. His friend warned him Leah was insane and that she’d kill him. He claimed he didn’t worry that life with Leah may be hectic. They married in 2008 after eight months of dating.

Michael, a successful businessman, took on the role of father to Leah’s son (19), and then they had a child together.

Michael was worth $40 million and operating eight businesses. But Michael faced various run-ins with the law, including 204 counts of RICO, but had never been convicted of a felony.

In 2013 and 2014, Michael worked at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island. Leah returned to school, they both stopped drinking, and they attended church. The couple became distant in 2017, with Leah working at UPS overnight to fund her school and Michael working long hours. In 2018, Leah confessed to taking Adderall and methamphetamine, and Michael filed for divorce.

Michael resides in Atlanta with their 14-year-old son, whom Leah no longer contacts.

Leah N. Davis pleaded guilty to capital criminal solicitation. She is now serving ten years in Florida State Prison.
